In The Know News: Two Police Killed In Mississippi

Two police officers, Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate, are dead, four suspects are facing charges after the officers were making a traffic stop Saturday evening when they were shot in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

-Investigators arrested Lewis Duncan in connection with a shooting Saturday night in west Charlotte, where two girls, were struck by debris after a bullet hit a wall.

-Police said Crystal McDaniel, a mother of five, was killed on Mother’s Day after being hit by a car while walking down a road in Gastonia.

-Delois Huntley, a woman who made civil rights history in Charlotte schools has passed away after a long illness. She became the first to break the color barrier at Alexander Graham Junior High more than 50 years ago.

-One person is in jail after leading police on a two-county chase overnight that began in Union County and ended in Mecklenburg County.

Crazy News

A Sharon man has been arrested in a South Carolina police station after officers say he exposed himself in the lobby. Channel 9’s partners at The Herald reports a 57-year-old man was caught sleeping in the York police station Thursday night. The officer on duty says the man had his belt undone and pants unbuttoned, exposing his genitals. An arrest report says officers woke the man up and asked why he was exposing himself in a public place. The man says he was sleepy and trying to get comfortable. The man was arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
